As our name suggests, we are a team of CIC certified infection prevention and control experts. Our goal is to assist both healthcare and non-healthcare organizations mitigate the risk of infection transmission within their facilities.

1. IPAC Assessment/Facility Audit
We will conduct a thorough assessment of your IPAC processes including an infection control risk assessment, and provide risk mitigation strategies.
2. IPAC Education
IPACmavens has developed programs with various options to educate and update healthcare workers on the latest practices, new and changing regulations, and much more.
3. Policy and Procedure Creation
We help develop such policies and procedures based on PIDAC and international published best practices. As new information becomes available, we help update your existing policies.
4. Accreditation Support
IPACmavens mock accreditation and survey preparation services ensure your personnel are knowledgeable of current standards and understand the proper processes for safe resident and patient care.
5. Corrective Action Plan Development
Developing a plan of correction can be a challenging exercise. It requires knowledge, skills, judgement and experience. IPACmavens will work with your facility to develop the plan of correction and ensures that they are complete, specific, and delivered in a timely manner.
6.CIC Exam Preparation
We provide comprehensive preparation in both theoretical and practical aspects of the CIC exam to candidates who want to be certified in infection control.
7. Healthcare staff and referrals
We provide placement of qualified healthcare professionals for temporary help services and long-term contracts. We provide staffing referrals for epidemiologists, CIC certified IPAC professionals, NP, RNs, RPNs, PSW, RSW, RD, housekeeping, and recreation aides.
8. Cleaning and disinfection
IPACmavens will provide refresher training on the cleaning and disinfecting of the environment, non-critical equipment as well as disinfection and/or sterilization of critical or semi-critical devices in accordance with Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee (PIDAC) guidelines.
9. Instructional Design
We develop IPAC graphics, animations, videos and interactive tools to engage learners of diverse educational background.

COVID-19 has exposed significant gaps in infection prevention and control (IPAC) and reinforces the fact that IPAC is not just an acute care (hospital) requirement but a key aspect of patient and resident care initiatives. Unfortunately, there are so few certified IPAC professionals and the need for infection prevention and control is ever growing.
IPACmavens was founded in April 2018 with the unique goal of contributing in the reduction and control of diseases within our communities. To deliver on its promise, IPACmavens collaborates with healthcare partners to provide a wide spectrum of IPAC solutions including free consultation, IPAC assessments (audits), education and training.
At IPACmavens, professionals from both technical and functional departments work together with an objective of providing evidence-based infection prevention and control solutions. We explore the functional knowledge of our resources to guide the direction and trajectory of our IPAC solutions.
