Academic Qualifications: PhD in epidemiology (molecular) and certification in infection control.
Relevant Experience: Dr. Ashu has a bachelors’ degree in microbiology and masters’ degrees in molecular biology and infectious disease control. He obtained his PhD in molecular epidemiology from McMaster University and is certified in infection control (CIC). Dr. Ashu has a wide range of experience in surveillance, outbreak response, and infectious disease control. Dr. Ashu has led global health and education programs in Africa and serves as a member of the advisory board of Prevent Blindness International, Dallas, USA. He has experience in conducting, participating and evaluating infection control practices and research, and has presented his research findings at diverse national and international conferences. Dr. Ashu has over 5 years of experience in Infection Prevention and Control with extensive experience working within various industries. He has provided personalized consultation, educational program development, program review, and audit services across a variety of sectors.Dr. Ashu speaks French and English.

Role: Senior IPAC Consultant
Academic Qualifications: Physician and masters’ in public health.
Relevant Experience: Dr Atabe is a physician and holds a Masters’ degree in public health from the institute of tropical medicine in Antwerp, Belgium. He has vast experience in immunization and population health risk assessment with more than 12 years of experience in disease control program implementation and management. He has served as a public health advisor for the WHO. Dr Atabe currently supports the public health agency of Canada on monitoring Canadian post immunization safety .
