Upon completion of an accreditation survey or inspection, facilities receive a written report which details the results of the inspection or audit. This report highlights areas that may require more attention and any applicable deficiencies (non–compliance issues).

Deficiencies are of varying levels, and the facility is required to respond with a plan of correction (POC) within a certain timeframe and this is where it gets stressful.
