The cornerstone of infection prevention and control within an environment of care involves the cleaning and disinfection of all surfaces and items on a regular basis.

This effort requires staff with the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience in cleaning and disinfection.

IPACmavens will provide refresher training on the cleaning and disinfecting of the environment, non-critical equipment as well as disinfection and/or sterilization of critical or semi-critical devices in accordance with Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee (PIDAC) guidelines.

We ensure that cleaning and disinfection is done in a way that prevents cross-contamination and the breeding of micro-organisms.
